Only a stone’s throw from our River Thames Accommodation, this walk starts at the nearby Hampton Court Green car park. The walk quickly heads northbound towards the heart of Bushy Park where you will cross an idyllic Victorian river before strolling into the glorious woodlands. As you delve deeper into the greenery, you will soon come across the impressive tree-lined Deer-Park. Be sure to make a quick stop to admire the Diana foundation, perfectly positioned in the middle of the picturesque lake that is often enjoyed by anglers. The trail takes a short trip through the town before joining the north bank of the Thames Path. A short walk later will take you to the famous Hampton Court Palace, where you can enjoy its rich history and the beauty of its period buildings and decedent gardens.

Nothing is more picturesque than a brisk winter walk along the glorious bank of the River Thames. The Thames Path is located just a short stroll from our Hampton Court hotel and is the perfect route if you’re looking to stretch your legs in London. Spend an afternoon strolling along the river from Hampton Court Palace to Teddington Lock and get your fix of rural greenery without leaving the city. In touching distance of our hotel, The Thames Path and boat jetties are easily accessible. The 2.5 mile walk has some impressive scenery, following the river banks and palace grounds past Thames Ditton Island. Spot The Mitre in all its glory as you walk through Kingston-upon-Thames, with the palace grounds at its back as you approach Hampton Wick.

Slightly further afield but only 3 miles from our hotel is the popular Richmond Park, a haven for walkers, runners and cyclists alike. With over 2,500 acres to explore, Richmond Park is the largest Royal Park in London. Walkers can enjoy the woodland and lakes whilst admiring its ancient oak trees, some of which date back to the late middle ages. The park is also full of activities from golf, horse riding and cycling, to fishing and power kiting. Make sure you take a detour past Pembroke Lodge, this beautiful Georgian Mansion is surrounded by 13 acres of idyllic grounds laden with rose beds, magnolias and huge oak trees. End the walk by taking in the spectacular views across London from King Henry’s Mound.
