On the 4th July you can learn all about The Consumption of Chocolate in the Royal Court – a fascinating subject matter for those who have a sweet tooth! Polly Putnam, the palace’s collections curator, will be giving the talk and is a keen chocolate connoisseur herself.
She is passionate about telling the stories of the people who lived and worked at Hampton Court and this talk will look at the relationship between royalty and the cocoa delicacy. Tickets cost £15.
Head to Hampton Court on 2nd – 8th July and you will be able to see the finest flower show in an unbeatable setting. Boasting new show garden categories and renowned garden designer Piet Oudolf, this year’s Palace Flower Show will offer spectacular photo opportunities, garden inspiration and fun for all the family. Tickets start at £22 per person.
The Hampton Court Palace Real Tennis Champions Trophy will be held at the Royal Tennis Court, from the 16th – 22nd July. You will be able to see the world’s best Real Tennis players from America, Australia, France and the UK.
There has been a tennis court at Hampton Court since 1625 and you can always visit the viewing gallery during the summer if competitive sport isn’t for you. This is a ticketed event with prices including entry to the palace. Prices start at £15.
