The Day You've been dreaming of...

You've heard about it, you've seen pictures, maybe you've even dreamed about it. But nothing comes close to living out the experience of a Mitre wedding.

On Sunday, 4th June, we're holding a Wedding Showcase between 10am and 1pm. With a Mock-up Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast, you'll be able to get a little taste of what your special day will be like. 

Your wedding is unique and your special day at The Mitre will be exclusively arranged to make it the day you have always dreamed of. With a personal touch we take great pride in attention to every detail.

As the temperature rises, we all look to the pink stuff for ultimate refreshment - rosé has truly become part of the summer experience in the UK. Provence wears the crown for popularity (we’ve come a long way since Mateus!) but beyond the classic pale style there are many excellent wines to be discovered.

Looking at a range of styles from entry level to super premium, this is a great opportunity to understand this category a little better whilst enjoying a few glasses on a summers evening.

If you think the grass always looks greener on the other side, you'll love to have dinner & drinks with produce from our neighbour, The Hampton Court Palace! Join us for a curious and delightful dinner and drinks hosted by Hilary Theaker, Kitchen Garden Keeper and Vine Keeper at Hampton Court Palace.  Hilary maintains the historic walled garden, using both old and modern gardening techniques to grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs all year round.

At this exclusive event we will be serving a delicious meal using palace garden produce and you will receive a welcome cocktail prepared with local gin from Hampton Court Gin!

A closer look at the idea of blind tasting; is it all myth, bias, hyperbole? It is certainly taken seriously by wine experts the world over, playing a key part in the hardest exams in the industry, but how much are influenced by what we see, hear, or feel?

This will be a light-hearted evening exploring the idea of bias and judgement when it comes to our palates. Who knows, you could be an Master of Wine in the making!
