A vibrant new hotel company created by restaurateur turned hotelier Hector Ross.

Our aim is to create memorable experiences and extraordinary boutique hotels in time-honoured places in great locations.

We are a home-grown and hands-on hotel company, relentless in our dedication to crafting ‘an exceptional experience’ alongside stunning designs in historically significant properties. 

Food is at the core of everything Signet Collection strives to create. Signet’s Culinary and Operations Director is Ronnie Kimbugwe, whose background includes many years with the Gordon Ramsay group followed by working with Hector at the Bel and Dragon Country Inns, where they ran an extraordinarily successful group of gastropubs across the South of England.

We preserve the authenticity of the buildings, while delivering unparalleled food, drink & service and unrivalled experiences for our guests.

Bringing historic hotels back to life. Hector adores history & heritage, so making the best of an opportunity to become the next customer of an iconic building that has lost its way and that can be reinvigorated for the next chapter.

The Experiences

We purposely call ourselves ‘The Signet Collection’ to enable us to take the brand to other venues & events. Look out for pop up restaurants, glamping at festivals and market stalls at a range of events.

The Mitre Hotel is our first Signet Collection hotel. We hope you will visit us to enjoy what we have done to the hotel to restore it to its former glory and we look forward to introducing you to more hotels as the next chapter unfolds.
