Hampton Court Palace Food Festival
It makes perfect sense that the home of one of history’s most notorious foodie’s, Henry VIII, would one day host a Food Festival. This August Bank Holiday you can participate in a fantastic celebration of all things food and drink – don’t forget to stay at one of the most traditional hotels near Hampton Court so the indulgence can continue.
Hampton Court Palace’s East Front Gardens.
24th – 26th August.
What to Expect
Plenty of food and drink of course! You can see what’s on the menu here. After you’ve eaten, experience new flavours, ideas and techniques thanks to the ‘Kitchen’. There, host Marcus Bean will guide you through live cooking demonstrations from top chefs and experts including Michel Roux Jr, Nadiya Hussain and Andrew Baird.
You can also visit the book signing space and the ‘Let’s Talk Food’ stage to hear first-hand accounts from your favourite chefs and independent producers. Children can take part in cooking and baking workshops to learn as they create – who knows if they are a top chef or budding baker in the making!
Away from the foodie fun, your children can take part in face painting, circus school and much more. Adults can partake in some shopping – there will be more than 100 artisan producers present. Once you’ve had your fill, the Bandstand will feature live music from the likes of The Herringbone Cocktail Club, The Courtiers, Dos Tiempos and Soul Rites.
Purchase your tickets here – they also include entry into the palace.
After all the aromas and tastes, you might be inspired to think about restaurants; Hampton Court will certainly be full of food and a stone’s throw away we will also be serving some delicious locally sourced dishes.
